I am Matt Rody. A Christ-inspired entrepreneur with a mission to help professionals grow and companies flourish with the Christ-led principles of Business Discipleship.
Though business-ownership has been baked into my DNA by a family of generational entrepreneurs, I have always valued relationships over profit margin. Working with my father in his underground construction company from the young age of eleven, and later striking out on my own to create multiple real estate companies, my passion has always lain with people and my heart has always looked for ways in which I could help them be the greatest at what they do.
Today, as Founder of Mastodon Media, I am laying the building blocks of a full-service advertising agency that is truly one-of-a-kind. We help sell products and services for clients and mastermind their brand presence in the marketplace. We also help them grow their business by nurturing talents within their team through a system of Business Discipleship.
Now, what is Business Discipleship, you may ask?
I define this concept as co-creation of a professional journey where profit is not the goal. It is a desirable by-product of an even bigger quest of building relationships via support, advice and education, so that every team member has the opportunity to hone their special skills and become the best at what they do. Business Discipleship places desire for relationships over desire for paychecks – and when companies humanize and personalize intra-office relations in this way, loyalty is long-term, and success is almost a guarantee.
MastodonMedia.com, GoFullVolume.com and MatthewRody.com are platforms where I demonstrate how Business Discipleship works by putting people first. I write content and do podcasts and social media appearances to deconstruct the concept of Business Discipleship into small, easy-to-digest bits.
Business Discipleship is a system that mirrors my own personal development through a frank and friendly relationship with God. And it is not something that will resonate with everybody. But its core lessons are universal nonetheless, and appropriate for any business that aspires to a human workforce that is inspired, invested and excited for the future.
